Annamarie Donovan, Esq. is admitted to the following: New York State Bar; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York; U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, serving on various committees relating to her expertise. She has served as SCBA Co-Chairperson of the Insurance & Negligence Defense Counsel Committee for the years 2006-2008. In May, 2008, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Suffolk County Bar Association and will serve a three-year term as a Director. Ms. Donovan is also an Adjunct Professor at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York where she has taught law-related courses in the Political Science Department since 2000, most notably, Gender Issues in the Law and Business Law. She has been a Guest Lecturer at The Oxford Round Table, Oxford University, Oxford, England, March, 2004 and March, 2005 on Women's Rights and Gender Equity; and, in April, 2007 on Women's Rights and Freedoms. Ms. Donovan has again been invited as a Guest Lecturer in August, 2008 and will participate in the session on Women's Leadership in Politics and the Professions. Ms. Donovan is involved in the community where she is a member of the Wading River-Shoreham Chamber of Commerce, participating in many community events. She has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce for approximately seven years and has served one term as its Vice President. During her tenure on the Board of Directors, Ms. Donovan chaired the committee responsible for the creation of the Chamber's web site. Annamarie Donovan earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Touro Law School. Ms. Donovan received her undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook, earning her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, in Political Science. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
